As an excellent young actor, Xuedong Chen is also a diving enthusiast. He has been involved in diving for eight years and has successively obtained the China Free Diving Instructor Certificate issued by the China Water Skiing Diving and Motorboat Sports Federation, as well as the free diving instructor and mermaid instructor certificates of AIDA, CMAS, PADI.

Xuedong Chen said that diving is a very interesting sport. It is not only need to learn professional skills, but also to master the knowledge of ocean currents, climate, first aid etc. During the diving process, Xuedong Chen felt the changes in the marine environment, and participated in marine public welfare and marine environmental protection activities for many times, and was committed to marine environmental protection.

As the "China Diving Promotion Ambassador", Xuedong Chen said that he feels very honored and has a great responsibility. He will try his best to popularize and promote diving sports, especially to participate in diving in a safe and standard manner, and  to raise the public's awareness of marine environmental protection.

The China Water Skiing, Diving and Motorboat Sports Federation has appointed Xuedong Chen as the "China Diving Promotion Ambassador". He also hopes that Xuedong Chen will use his sports experience to attract more people to learn about diving and join in with his positive, sunny and healthy image and influence, and then contribute to the healthy and safe development of China's diving during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
