On November 8th, the surfing competition of the 6th Hainan Provincial Games ushered in the "closing day". With excellent performance, the Sanya surfing team finally won 5 golds, 4 silvers and 4 bronzes, a total of 13 medals. Dong Wenyue, a 17-year-old teenager from Sanya Yucai Ecological Zone, continued her previous excellent performance and won four golds including the women's longboard youth group individual, the women's longboard youth group group, the women's longboard adult group group, and the youth group mixed longboard group.

"I have participated in Hainan Provincial Games twice. Compared with the previous two games, my competition condition was not the best. I failed to make it to the final in the women's longboard adult individual event, which brought me a lot of pressure.  Fortunately, with the guidance of the coach, I release my burdens, and finally won 4 gold medals." Talking about the experience of this competition, Dong Wenyue said.

Among the 19 players in the team, 12 players who are studying in primary school are participating in the competition for the first time. The youngest player, Chen Xi, is only 10 years old.In the surfing team competition, Danzhou, Qiongzhong, Baisha and other cities and counties have a high level of surfing teams, which brings a lot of pressure to the Sanya surfing team. Dong Wenyue and Qi Haokang withstood the pressure in the game, played well, and finally won the championship.

Chen Weizhong said that in the future, surfing projects will enter the campus, and will make good use of Sanya's surfing environmental resources to cultivate more professional surfing talents, further strengthen team building, and achieve new breakthroughs in Sanya competitive sports as soon as possible, and win more honors for Sanya.
